David Davies

David Davies is a passionate music teacher and guitarist from Gatineau. David has obtained his bachelor's degree in performance from Carleton University while studying classical guitar under Julien Bisaillon. Prior to this, he has had the opportunity to study classical, pop and rock music with Denis Donegani, as well as blues music with J.W. Jones. Though classical guitar remains his main point of interest, David is fluent in a variety of idioms. As a performer, David has had the opportunity to perform on numerous occasions and in a variety of venues, such as the National Arts Centre. He has also participated in a number of masterclasses, playing for renowned classical guitarists Jérôme Ducharme, Patrick Kearney and Allan Yzereef. As a teacher, he has multiple years of experience teaching group and private lessons to children as well as adults. David firmly believes in establishing a friendly environment that is conducive to learning and creating a lesson plan that is tailored to every student's needs.
