Vocal Teacher

Kenny Hayes

Originally from Belleville, Ontario, Kenny has been playing piano, singing and composing music since the age of fourteen. Having been under the tutelage of Beverley Dafoe at Arden's Music in Belleville, he has gone on to study with some of the leading talents in the music department during his degree at the University of Ottawa (2012 graduating class.) He has performed in many different theatre and music functions in Ottawa, including the Ron Maslin Playhouse's production of 'A Flea in her Ear' (where he also composed the original score and incidental music), Ottawa Little Theatre's 'Skin Flick,' 'Christmas Belles,' and Orpheus Musical Theatre Society's '9 to 5: The Musical.' He also has written music for and performed in the Ottawa, Regina, Windsor and Victoria Fringe Festivals. His most recent endeavours took him to Toronto where he was seen as Brad in the Alumnae Theatre's world premiere of 'Inheritance,' a new play by Tabitha Keast. His dreams of acting and music as full life careers are finally coming true and he is looking to share that knowledge and experience with his students, some of whom have taken home major awards for excellence in the art of piano and voice!
