Guitar Teacher

Andrew Brittain

ANDREW BRITTAIN BMus received scholarships at the University of Ottawa and Carleton University where he studied Classical and Jazz music, and where he retained a 96 percent grade point average. His music studies have included classical and jazz guitar, voice, music theory, arranging and composing techniques, as well as acoustics and recording technology. He has studied guitar with Patrick Roux, Michael Murray, Steve Rollins, and had the opportunity for private instruction with top North American guitar pedagogue Bruce Holzman. Andrew has taught guitar and music theory for well over a decade, and believes that establishing a strong foundation of technique, ear training, reading, and theory on the guitar will help performance, memory, improvisation, song writing and composition. Above all it will add to the appreciation and enjoyment of the instrument and music in general.
